RECREATION PARK CLUBHOUSE, BARCALDINE

Located in the vicinity of Lagoon Creek, the Barcaldine Recreation Park is a 1.1km long, 250m wide man-made lake designed for a wide range of water sports. Barcaldine Regional Council sees the project as an opportunity to encourage our local communities to participate in water activities like water skiing, rowing, fishing, sailing, boat racing, jet skiing, wakeboarding, triathlons, open water swimming, canoeing and kayaking.

This year-round water infrastructure facility will allow all ages to access and participate in fun water based activities. Alongside the lake, there are walking tracks, amenities building, park shelters, BBQs, a viewing deck, beach, boat ramp and landscaping.

The construction of the Barcaldine Water Recreation Park Clubhouse went to tender in December 2019. GBA Consulting Engineers were engaged to oversee the contract administration, management and superintendency of the clubhouse, pontoon, jetty and boat ramp.
